Gift a Smile is a sponsored initiative and community based non-for-profit organization that started as an idea in 2010 to specifically cater for the less fortunate hospitalised children. Shortly after thanks to the volunteers and the greater community support, the idea became a reality. They embraced the idea and were willing to contribute with their time, money and open hearts.
WHAT WE DO
Since its inception, we have successfully managed to put Smiles on many children’s faces.
This was achieved via biannual visits to the patients at hospitals located at Westmead, Bankstown and Randwick. Upon the visit we handed out gifts/toys for every child, sweets for the hospital staff and balloons for everyone!
Our projects are supported financially from our marquee stands at community events where we sell Gift a Smile branded merchandise and accept donations. We operate at a zero percent administration fee.
We intend to expand to other hospitals, disability centres and increase the visitation frequency.
We’re also planning BBQ Fun Days to enjoy a more social event with the hospital staff, patients and their families.
